Mutoh’s 64-inch high-performance UV LED roll-to-roll printer, the XpertJet 1682UR, is now available with Mutoh’s latest US81 UV LED inks. This powerful 6-color UV LED printer impresses not only with its innovative multi-layer printing but also with its future-proof and sustainable ink technology.
Designed for versatile applications, high productivity, and sustainability, the XpertJet 1682UR represents the ideal solution for producing high-quality graphics. With print speeds up to 27.3 m²/h (using 2xCMYK) and image quality up to 1440 × 1440 dpi, it delivers superior productivity combined with innovative multi-layer printing options. Users can produce expressive 5-layer prints showing different images on the front and back or 4-layer prints for striking frontlit / backlit combinations. Transparent and colored substrates, as well as non-white materials, can be enhanced with spot varnish effects for eye-catching surface finishes.
Key highlights of the XpertJet 1682UR include two 1440-nozzle print heads, two 4-inch UV LED lamps, single-pass 5-layer printing without media retraction, and a comprehensive range of automatic calibrations for maximum user convenience and flawless results.
This printer is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as in-store signage, wall decorations, POP and retail displays, floor and window graphics, art prints, and exhibition signage. Combined with the Greenguard Gold-certified US81 inks, it ensures environmentally responsible indoor production, meeting strict VOC requirements.
Future-Proof and Sustainable Ink Series
The newly introduced US81 UV LED ink series has been specifically developed for Mutoh’s XpertJet 1682UR, combining regulatory compliance, operator safety, and outstanding print performance.
US81 inks are free from SVHC and TPO, complying with current and upcoming EU REACH regulations on chemical safety. By using safer and more sustainable photo initiators, Mutoh ensures that US81 inks represent a future-proof solution for the years to come.
With excellent adhesion, scratch resistance, and stretchability of up to 200%, US81 inks are perfectly suited for flexible substrates such as banners, soft signage, transparent films, and multilayer graphics.
The inks also offer a 12-month shelf life and come in clean, user-friendly 800 ml pouches, ensuring safe and efficient ink replacement without direct contact.
