Mutoh’s Universal Mild Solvent inks (UMS) represent the 4th generation of mild solvent inks, exclusively formulated for Mutoh’s roll-to-roll sign & display wide format printer range. With exceptional outdoor UV resistance of up to three years without lamination, UMS inks offer an unrivalled colour gamut, covering 83% of the Pantone C® colour chart, setting a new standard for a four-colour ink set. Specifically developed for high-quality volume production of sign & display graphics, these inks are suitable for long-term outdoor applications as well as durable indoor prints. UMS inks utilise highly durable colour pigments ground to nano-size level (approximately 150 nm), along with a new blend of milder and non-aggressive solvents and a unique mix of resins. The resin mix ensures optimal adhesion of the pigments to the substrate, creating a uniform and smooth ink layer. Each colour pigment is additionally encapsulated by the resin mix, addressing the specific requirements of outdoor sign & display prints (such as gloss preservation, scuff resistance, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance) and safeguarding the long-term outdoor durability of the colour pigments.

* For heavy-duty applications where mechanical stress is involved (floor, vehicle and marine graphics) or repeated exposure to chemicals, lamination is required. Stabilisation is required prior to lamination.
